Mental Health Counseling

Life is filled with loss, and grief is the natural, normative response to losing someone we love or something we value.

Research indicates that people who manage their grief best are those with a strong support system. We expect our family and close friends to support us in our grief, but sometimes they are unable, because they are grieving themselves, or are uncomfortable talking about it. Grief also can be complicated, and it can be helpful to have a compassionate, objective listener for this process. Below are some of the losses with which Ginny can help.

-
Death of a loved one
-
Anticipating the death of a loved one
-
Complicated grief
-
Loss of health – chronic or life-threatening
-
Divorce or loss of a relationship
-
Loss of a job
-
Loss of meaning or purpose
Grief Counseling
Christian or Pastoral
Counseling
As Christians, we believe true freedom and healing comes from surrendering our lives and our wills to the care of a loving God.

We were not created to do life on our own. We need our Creator and our Redeemer daily. God is calling out to each of us, knows our pain, and wants us well. In Christian counseling, we examine how God is speaking to you and utilize your relationship or experience of God in the healing process. This type of counseling is especially good for old wounds and deep hurts. Oftentimes, people are upset with God and need help working through these issues. Ginny has worked with people from a variety of religious or spiritual backgrounds. She also understands issues with organized religion. Her goal is to help anyone in emotional or spiritual distress regardless of church affiliation, religious preference, or unbelief.
